Attracting Native Wildlife

So, you would like to attract native wildlife to your garden – how do you do it? It really depends on what you would like to attract. Many species have quite specific requirements, so we will consider the overriding principles first.

Every animal needs food, water and shelter. The more of these requirements your wildlife garden is able to satisfy, the more birds and animals, both in type and number, you are likely to attract. Some aspects that need to be considered include the structure of your garden, types of plants, provision of water, supplemental feeding and installing nesting and wildlife nesting boxes.
